Appropriate equipment will be issued to each player prior to the start of practice.  It is the responsibility of each parent to ensure his or her player(s) attend the appropriate ‘Fit Night’ at the Boys Scout Barn in Wenham to pick up equipment and get properly fitted.  In fairness to our volunteers’ time, please make every effort to attend the regularly scheduled fit night for your son’s team.  Please contact the HWGYF equipment manager, Manny Munoz, with any questions.

EQUIPMENT FIT NIGHT: Email instructions will be forwarded to families in advance to reserve time slots

Youth football shoes and sizes sell out quickly in July and early August so get yours early. Don’t wait to buy football shoes until just before practice starts in mid August as sizes and brands of football shoes become very limited or sold out.

Players should wear shorts, T shirts, football cleats and a helmet the first two days of practice.  After that, players should be in full uniform equipment.Game pants and game shirts may not be worn at practices!

Coaches and the Equipment Manager will be available to ensure all equipment is fitted properly for each player and that new players are shown how to put equipment on.

EQUIPMENT RETURN NIGHT: Email instructions will be sent to families in advance.

All HWGYF provided equipment must be returned at the end of the season on scheduled equipment return nights.  Families who do not return their equipment timely will be charged for the full cost of the replacement items.
